LORI'S REVIEW
This is a thoroughly engaging book! One that took me just a day to read because I just couldn't put it down!
I loved it because it was about family and
I had to laugh at some of the things the children did and how they did it!
I even wished I had their energy!  Children are a blessing from God are they not? I know mine was even tho I only had one. Sometimes just him alone was a handful but i love him with all my heart.

This story is about forgiveness and trust. I feel like in order to move on u have to forgive yourself and others if possible.  But, sometimes it's  very hard to trust someone even if they are telling the truth. I'm glad that everything worked out for this family.
I love God's timing in things don't you?
I liked it because the name Goldie since that is my friends name.

As I started to read this book, it brought to mind  another story told long ago for the Bible. I think that this is another reason I enjoyed the story so much!! .
There wasn't nothing that I didn't like about the story. I just didn't really like the deception that was played out  but I guess without that God wouldn't really be at work here now would He? He shows that people can really change if they work hard at it and really does want to . For , without God  we'd never make it on our own even though we think we can. Sometimes that's how He puts in our place whether we like it or not.
I believe I will be looking for more of this author's works since I enjoyed this one so much!!
I'd like to know if Hope and Caleb and family will continue to grow in many things!
Thanks for a wonderful story!

Guest Post from Tanya Eavenson

I’d like to thank Celebrate Lit for featuring my first novella in my Gaining Love Series, To Gain a Mommy, for this tour. I’m looking forward to visiting with you along the way!
Recently I was asked to share what inspired me to write To Gain a Mommy. Believe it or not, my inspiration came from a prayer.
Last year my employer offered me a great promotion, but the catch was I’d have little time to spend with my family. So I prayed, asking God for direction for my family, my job, and my writing.
God knows us so well. He knew I had a desire to work with other authors and to write my first novella. He also knew that without a push, I wouldn’t do it.
It all began with a simple post on my Facebook timeline. Another writer posted that she had messaged me but wanted to let me know since FB has a couple of message boxes (I had no idea!). I clicked on my messages, and there it was—the extra message box, filled. As I read through the messages, I found one asking if I’d be interested in joining a novella boxed set. Right away I knew God had answered my prayer.
Needless to say, I didn’t take the position at work and joined the boxed set. Since then, To Gain a Mommy has become an international bestseller and has been a finalist in two contests. My Gaining Love series continues to grow, with the third novella, To Gain a Bodyguard, releasing in time for Christmas. Isn’t God good!
The Lord tells us to trust in Him and that if we do, He will direct our paths. It still amazes me how the Lord works behind the scenes in our lives to give us hope and a future.
Yes, God gives us hope. He gives us a future. This is why I named my heroine in To Gain a Mommy Hope. Romans 5:5 says, “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us” (NKJV). Although my heroine can’t see her future or what it might hold, she is reminded that God will not disappoint.
The Lord reminds us of the same in our own lives.

cherished mercy by tracie peterson

ABOUT THE BOOK

Mercy Flanagan survived the Whitman Massacre as a child, and now her heart's cry is for peace between the native peoples and the white settlers inhabiting Oregon Territory. Unfortunately, most of the settlers would rather the tribes were removed from the land completely, one way or the other, and tensions are rising. Mercy has grown tired of Oregon City and feels that she has a larger purpose in life, so when she learns that family friend Eletta Browning is pregnant, she travels south to the Rogue River Valley to help.
At the Rogue River Mission, Mercy meets Eletta's brother-in-law, Adam, who has suffered a broken engagement. Mercy finds him attractive, but Adam seems determined to focus on ministering to the local tribes and keeps Mercy at arm's length.
When tragedy strikes and tensions in the territory reach the boiling point, Mercy is pushed to the limit of her strength. She and Adam must rely on their firm faith in God in order to make it out alive.

LORI'S REVIEW

So far, this has got to be my favorite series by Tracie Peterson.
It is fast paced and leaves you wanting for more. It will keep you turing the pages way past midnight for sure!!
Mercy has a great adventure waiting ahead of her. I felt like I was on one with her.
There were just so many things that were exciting happening that I could hardly keep up!!
I'm glad she kept Grace and Hope and their families in the story too!!! I couldn't imagine having that many children to raise!!
I enjoyed the Indians too. Even though they're human just like us, their lifestyles might be just a little different. I could put myself in their camp and imagine making friends with them.
However; I didn't like the way they were treated. Fear is the white man's greatest enemy. It grieves me that they were murdered for no reason at all!!
It what is ruling our world today (Fear) and hate. It will never go away as long as Satan is around.
Forgiveness, leadership, missionary are at work in this beautifully written story.
Thank you Tacie for another wonderful story!! I can't wait to read the next series!!
I received this book for free. All words are my own opinion and thank you Bethany house for letting me read and review your books!!

They all do their part in striving for victory in World War II. Sometimes, though, the danger can be hard to identify.

LORI'S REVIEW

Teri Wangard is a new author to me.
I love her ability to make me smile, hold my breath, and cry whatever the scene may be about at the time.
I will add her to my list of faves to read.
I also love some of the bible verses the author has put in there.
Psalm 23 is personally my favorite.
One verse stands out to me and it's Romans 8:8 There is therefore now NO condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. I feel blessed!
I can relate to the 2nd WW. My granfather fought the Germans. Years later I found all kinds of neat stuff among his discharge papers. An honorable discharge I might add.
My grandpa told the most amazing " stories" changing them each time lol
My grandma worked in the plastic co same as my grandpa before the war.
They too had to ration.
I love history. I admire the men who fought for freedom.
I enjoyed Lily's story. She is much like my grandma in many ways. Doing what needed to be done in order to help win the war.
Joe is an interesting person to get to know. I loved being in the plane (even tho I'm scared of heights like Pearl) Imagine getting to see from a different view!!
Much action packed in this novel if you have a love of the WW2.
This book can be made into a movie too!! I enjoyed this book so much!!
I received this book for free. No compensation was received and all opinions are my own

Guest Post from Terri Wangard

After eight years of thinking, breathing, researching B-17s, I was ready to disembark and concentrate on something else. But what? I had a vague idea of three friends who joined the WAC, the WAVES, and the WASPs, but nothing crystalized. Except for the WAC.

I didn’t want to completely turn away from flying, and I prefer topics that aren’t commonly known. How about a grasshopper pilot? My second character was on board.

I had toyed with the idea of a family generational series. A World War II story paired with a World War I story. But no, too unwieldy.
The WAC could have a sister, though, who stayed on the home front and did factory work. Oh, dear. I couldn’t completely stay away from B-17s. She’s building them.
She also needs a husband. He’ll be in the navy, and not on an aircraft carrier. A destroyer! (This was in the works before Sarah Sundin signed a contract for her just-concluded series about destroyer men. I checked with her: She was writing about the Atlantic war; my guy’s in the Pacific. No problem.) I studied the list of Pacific destroyers and, oooh, the Spence. All kinds of possibilities there.
So there I had it: a sailor, his Rosie-the-Riveter wife, her WAC sister, and a grasshopper pilot. They’re all doing their part to help win the war, but sometimes the enemy isn’t obvious.
