ABOUT THE BOOK

In 1917, Alma Pihl, a master craftsman in The House of FabergZ, was charged to protect one of the greatest secrets in Russian history--an unknown FabergZ Egg that Peter Karl FabergZ secretly created to honor his divided allegiance to both the people of Russia and the Imperial Czar's family. When Alma and her husband escaped Russia for their native Finland in 1921, she took the secret with her, guarding her past connection to the Romanov family.

Three generations later, world-renowned treasure hunter Nick Laine is sick and fears the secret of the missing egg will die with him. With time running out, he entrusts the mission of retrieving the egg to his estranged daughter, Ava, who has little idea of the dangers she is about to face. As the stakes are raised, Ava is forced to declare her own allegiance--and the consequences are greater than she could have imagined.

This modern-day treasure hunt from award-winning author Kelli Stuart transports you into the opulent and treacherous world of the Russian Revolution to unearth mysteries long buried.

MY REVIEW

An interesting read  that has everything in it that a reader could want.
Yes this is a dual time line but a very well written one. One that I find very interesting.
What if we could do that travel back in time?
I loved the treasure hunt. It was my favorite part of the story. It was what made it interesting.
The historical descriptions were my favorite as well.
The author has described some of these scenes so well that I felt like I was in the story.
The characters were very well rounded out and the plot was awesome!
I simply couldn't put this book down and I spent a delightful afternoon and evening reading it.

GUEST POST

Hi Lori! Thanks for having me on your blog.

You asked how I got started in writing, and the truth is, I've written poems and stories since I was very small. I had an imaginary friend named Sally, and she had a lot of adventures. I loved playing pretend, and I loved to read. I was always the kid who loved silent reading time in class. Little wonder, then, that I always wanted to write books! When I was in high school, I wrote silly Regency-set stories with my best friend and I as the protagonists, and since then, I knew I wanted to write romances. I guess I still love playing pretend, and my imaginary friends are my characters!

I started my first "serious" project before I had kids, set it aside when my first child was born, and after a few stops and starts, I resumed my current trajectory around 2007. I had a lot to learn about writing and the industry, but since my first contract came in 2014, I've completed 26 novels and novellas, both historical and contemporary-set.

I'm currently working on new proposals, and I thank God for every opportunity He's given me. He's the one who has made it all possible! I credit Him with inspiring me with story ideas, too, through various ways. For my upcoming release, A Need to Protect from Love Inspired (April 26, 2022), I was inspired by a bar of soap! Sheep milk's soap...you will have to read the book to know what I mean!

Thank you to you and your readers for giving me a few minutes of your time today! Happy reading!

Her Darkest secret by Jessica R Patch

ABOUT THE BOOK

When a cold-case serial killer returns, FBI special agent Fiona Kelly has one last chance to stop him before he claims the prize he’s always wanted—her.

The sight of a goose feather at a murder scene modeled after a children’s poem is enough to make FBI special agent Fiona Kelly's blood turn to ice. Almost two decades ago, a feather was left with her sister's body—and with every subsequent victim of the Nursery Rhyme Killer. Now he's back. Only this time, his latest gruesome murder is a message to the only one who ever got away: Fiona.

Finding “Rhyme” is an obsession that's fueled Fiona's career—and destroyed her marriage to fellow FBI agent Asa Kodiak. Now Fiona and Asa have to put their past tensions aside and work together one last time. But Rhyme is watching, and catching this killer may force Fiona to reveal her biggest, darkest secret…the one only he knows.

MY REVIEW

Jessica R. Patch has done it again only bigger and better than ever!
I did my happy dance for this book!
This was fantabulous, amazing, excellent and exciting! With all the ingredients for a can't put down book!
This is a novel that will definitely make the hairs stand on the back of your neck and have you looking over your shoulder for sure! I read this at night so yes, I ended up doing both of these things.
Unforgettable characters too.
I love that this particular thriller is a wonderful story that has beautiful spiritual messages to help Fiona through her ordeal.
I found myself holding my breath through the many twists and turns and was so into the book that I was finished before I knew it.
I really liked this couple. They really made an excellent team.
The Nursery Ryhme killer. What a name! Sort of reminds me of Stephen King's It.
I highly recommend this book!
I would love to give it more than 5 stars though. Too bad I couldn't cause it deserves 10!
Patch's stories has made me a fan for life. This will be my favorite one because of the excellent writing that was done and how she made it seem so realistic.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.
