MY REVIEW

This book deserves 5 stars and more!!
Dana once again has me intrigued and kept the pages turning!!
This time she uses dogs which are another of my favorite animals. I love dogs because they are smart, loving, intelligent and fun to have! They are wonderful therapy as well.
Some things just happen that are out of control and we are helpless to stop it.
Even I was helpless at times where certain things life dealt me. It does no good to be mad at God. If truth be told this is where we need him the most!! Only sometimes we just can't see it.
Zac and Eddie are just awesome in this book!! I love how Dana seems to make them like real people.
The part I really don't care for is the male shovanist ego. Some men think they don't have to lower themselves to their feelings while women do.
I like Viloet the most! She is lively, outgoing, and yes the most stubborn person I have ever come across!! There are times (like me) that she doesn't listen and well stuff happens.
Violet's parents and all the K-9 cops are great supporting characters!
Even some parts of this book had me looking over me shoulder and the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
I like reading suspense. Its full of action almost from the moment you open the book.
It's also refreshing at times too!!
I strongly recommend this book! She's an awesome writer!!
I received a copy of this book and no compensations were received! All opinions are my own!!

Sweet on You by Becy Wade

ABOUT THE BOOK

Britt and Zander have been best friends since they met thirteen years ago, but unbeknownst to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long. When Zander's uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Washington to investigate. As they work together to uncover his uncles tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also come to light?

MY REVIEW

I just finished my 1st book by Becky Wade!!
Admittedly I didn't want to read it at first but now I'm glad I did!!
There's some lessons to be learned from some wonderful mmessages in this book.
I love the one where " I survived through life because God has never left me through my hard times and is still with me through the easy times."
God will always carry us if we only let Him but like Britt, we are too stubborn and want to do things our way!!
I'm going to be honest here. I was about to scream two thirds of the way into the book because someone was too stubborn to admit something that was right in front of her face the whole time!!
I'm also going too admit I drooled over Britt's candy. I felt like I was on the outside in watching her make the candy and wanting to reach over her shoulder and take a piece to taste it.
Zander is my favorite character of all!! He's your cool down to earth guy and in my mind's eye very handsome!! I love his strength and know that he is there when you need him. Just like our Lord Jesus is.
Britt is about the coolest woman there is except for being stubborn and digging her heals in so to speak. In that way she is just like me stubborn about certain things. I enjoyed the mystery that surrounded this novel and I love the who done it. This is why I didn't put the book down!!
I strongly recommend this book. There's some great messages in here. Reading Christian fiction has brought me closer to God. I hope that you also are blessed and brought closer to Jesus through reading my reviews. I hope that I can win some souls for Jesus this way or by reading these great books!!
I would have love to have had siblings!! I was raised as an only child so I missed out. I loved the closeness of Britt's family. The love and support they had for one another. Too often in today's world most families don't have that and they go their own way and leave God out. It's why our world is the way it is today.
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley with no compensations received. All opinions are my own!!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Becky WadeDuring her childhood in California, Becky frequently produced homemade plays starring her sisters, friends, and cousins. These plays almost always featured a heroine, a prince, and a love story with a happy ending. She's been a fan of all things romantic ever since.
Becky and her husband lived overseas in the Caribbean and Australia before settling in Dallas, Texas. It was during her years abroad that Becky's passion for reading turned into a passion for writing. She published three historical romances with Avon Books, then put her career on hold for several years to care for her three kids, then recently returned to writing sheerly for the love of it. She felt led to move to the genre of contemporary Christian romance and couldn’t be more thrilled with it.
These days Becky can be found failing but trying to keep up with her housework, sweating at the gym, carting her kids around town, playing tennis, hunched over her computer, eating chocolate, or collapsed on the sofa watching TV with her husband.

MY REVIEW

I wish I could give this book 10 stars or more!! This was such a good book that I stayed up til 3 am last night to try and finish it. But, alas I didn't make it. I had to finish it this morning.
Man!!! A question I kept asking myself was Why? Why does God allow certain things to happen? The simple answer I believe is, so we'd come to Him and cast all our cares onto to Him. Sounds easy doesn't it? But, alas being the ornery humans that we are we think we can do it all on our own!! I think this is where pride goeth before a fall so to speak.
As I read this book I can tell that the author's heart and soul was all out in this book the way the characters were well thought out including the supporting characters. Such strong ones too!!
Of course I fell in love with Gage and Holden both. I love them because of their willingness to help others and being met with "blocks" which only strengthens their determination.
And keeping their faith in God too. That's definitely a big plus for me.
It often amazes me how these authors come out with a story line and make it seem real to us readers.
This is definitely different from what I am used to reading but I loved it.
I like expanding outside my reading preferences!! I never know where God will lead me to read or where I will travel next.
This story has made ever so thankful for the parents who raised me. My mom was the best friend a girl could have until she got sick with her diabetes.
Y'all will need some tissues for this book and there's a very big surprise at the end.
I received a complimentary copy of this book with no compensations and all opinions are my own!!

MARRIED TO A STRANGER BY LAURA V. HILTON

41582895

ABOUT THE BOOK

He marries her out of need. She marries him to escape. What does love have to do with it?
When her father falsely accuses a stranger of dishonoring her, Bethel Eicher finds herself promised in marriage to a man she’s never met. Not exactly a dream come true, but since she has spent several years caring for her handicapped mother, she’s already considered an old maid at twenty-five—and she longs to escape her lonely life as permanent caregiver.
When newly-called Amish preacher Gideon Kaiser learns he’s been accused of a dishonorable act, he's horrified. But his wife died in childbirth and his baby needs a mother, so he figures marrying a woman he’s never met could be beneficial.
How can Bethel and Gideon possibly make their marriage work—especially when the truth behind the accusations is revealed?

MY REVIEW

Loved Loved this series!!
My heart went out to Bethel. What a strong and determined woman!! I was so proud of her!! Especially with all that she endured!!

Poor Gideon!! I felt sorry for him! But I understand where he's coming from.
Grief has no time limit. Grief can cause us to do things or say hurtful things to others when we don't otherwise mean it.

I especially loved Bishiop Miah!! What a wise and wonderful, ornery and sneaky man!!

I loved how he told Gideon "you can't go in all directions at one time."
Folks, I'm sure many of us has felt like we're pulled in one direction a lot! I know I do!!
I try to pray whenever I feel like this do you?
Prayer always helps. There's power in prayer. How great Der Herr is!!

Noami I really wanted to shake her until her teeth rattled!! Stubborn woman!!
I like how the author stated in the book how forgiveness is more for us to give us a piece of mind so to speak. Really we should because it will only wear you down and make u bitter if you don't. I hope this doesn't happen to Naomi. I think there could be a reconciliation if she'd quit digging her heals in and let go.

I think that this will be my favorite series of all of her books! I am going to buy them to add to my shelf.

I strongly recommend Laura's books!! They're so good you won't want to put them down!!

FAR SIDE OF THE SEA BY KATIE BRESLIN

40390335

ABOUT THE BOOK

In spring 1918, Lieutenant Colin Mabry, a British soldier working with MI8 after suffering injuries on the front, receives a message by carrier pigeon. It is from Jewel Reyer, the woman he once loved and who saved his life--a woman he believed to be dead. Traveling to France to answer her urgent summons, he desperately hopes this mission will ease his guilt and restore the courage he lost on the battlefield.

Colin is stunned, however, to discover the message came from Jewel's half sister, Johanna. Johanna, who works at a dovecote for French Army Intelligence, found Jewel's diary and believes her sister is alive in the custody of a German agent. With spies everywhere, Colin is skeptical of Johanna, but as they travel across France and Spain, a tentative trust begins to grow between them.

When their pursuit leads them straight into the midst of a treacherous plot, danger and deception turn their search for answers into a battle for their lives.

MY REVIEW

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Katie did not disappoint. I love her writing and the research that goes into making a wonderful story.
I loved the lessons and Spiritual messages that are in this book.
There is also action that will make you reel and that is what I like.
Pigeons are annoying. I do not like them because if you're under one or if they fly over you they will poop on you. However; from this book I learned differently even though they're still annoying to me.
I love Colin and Johanna. Even though Colin sort of annoyed me. I'd still like to have him as my protector.
I love how the author shows us that even men can be vulnerable too at times. It just shows that they're human.
Johanna is a woman after my own heart. I love her adventurous side. At least she didn't scream like Spiderman's dumb girlfriend did at everything. Johanna knew what needed to be done and went after it.
I had fun reading this book. I went after a copy from Netgalley since my book hasn't gotten here yet. My nose was hurting me to see what was inside lol. Thank you Netgalley!
I like how God closes one door and opens another even though that may not be what we want. Sometimes what he does is better!!
And yes, it can hurt but with time who knows what adventures lie ahead!!
I strongly recommend this book.
I received a copy from Netgalley and no compensation were received. All opinions are my own!!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Both the family estate and guardianship of his niece and nephew were left to him, and diabolical Uncle Cline is determined to indulge in his newfound wealth and rid himself of his charges. Desperate to save her brother from a dangerous life at sea, and herself from being married off to a detestable old gentleman, Lizzy knows there is only one choice left—they must run.
Lizzy and Thomas sneak away and find refuge in an abandoned cabin. There they remain hidden until fate acquaints Lizzy with Mr. Barton, a charming gentleman who is immediately intrigued by the mysterious young woman. Concealing her identity, Lizzy is unaware that there is much more to this compassionate man than meets the eye. Through his kindness to herself and her brother, Lizzy begins to trust him. Soon Lizzy realizes Mr. Barton may be her best hope for a life in which she can live—and love—as she chooses .

MY REVIEW

I thought this book was interesting!!
It's also considered Recency Romance if you like that sort of thing. I didn't until I picked up a few and this one was no exception.
I love the fierce loyalty that Lizzie and Thomas had for each other. And dedication. Too often, most siblings want to quarrel because ine is so acraid that they're not going to get what the other one has. Or too afraid one parent will love one more than the other. I missed out on that. I'd love to have a sibling. Sometimes being an only child is lonely.
Trust is the theme here. It's so very hard to trust these days. Except that there is One whom we can trust. I trust Him with all my heart do you?
This is a great story for those who love recency romance. Not my cup of tea but I liked the cover so I wanted to see what the girl on the front cover was running from. Now I know but I'm not saying anything because I don't want to give anything away.
I think Mr. Everly is my favorite character. I love his kind and compassionate ways and wanting to help people if you will. I also like the way the author described him in this book. So I can imagine him being handsome.
Lizzie is determined. I think I'll use this word. It describes her perfectly. I like that she wants to protect.
Thomas is delightful!! Full of energy and an eagerness to want to help. And my!! So full of energy!! I wish I was that young again. I think Thomas gives this story character. I say this because of his youth. And his personality.
I thought it was ok but as I said Thomas is what made this story. Y'all will just have to read this book to find out why!!
I still strongly recommend this book. Especially for people who live Recency romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley with no compensations received. All opinions are my own

Cross My Heart ( A Legacy of Faith #2)

42772057

ABOUT THE BOOK

Two broken paths lead toward God’s redemption in the next installment of Robin Lee Hatcher’s Legacy of Faith series.

Ashley Showalter and Ben Henning have so much in common. Both were raised by single moms. Both want to help where they see a need. And both work with horses in the Idaho valley. Ashley runs a horse rescue operation, while Ben has started an equine therapy barn on his great-great grandfather’s farm—and both Ashley and Ben have the feeling that there could be something more between them.

But they share something else that may drive them apart if the truth is ever revealed. Ben is a recovering alcoholic with ten years of sobriety behind him, while Ashley’s brother, Dylan, is an opioid addict, currently residing in court-ordered rehab. Ashley has promised herself she would never walk knowingly into the chaos created by addiction—because in her mind, addicts can never be fully cured. But with God, all things are possible. Will Ashley find it within herself to give love a chance, or will her brother’s mistakes jeopardize her future with Ben?

MY REVIEW

I was not disappointed in this book! I can always count on Robin for a good story and she definitely delivered.

In fact, when I opened it I was delighted to find Andrew and Helen were included because when we left off on the first book they still had a story to tell!!

I was also delighted to learn that my grandparents lived in this time period as well. They were wonderful storyteller. I miss them greatly!!
Ben and Ashley remind me of me and my husband. We too have many things in common. Ashley is a girl after my own heart for her love of horses and wanting to help.
I think it is neat that God gave us animals to help us heal. It truly amazes me how animals sense these things.
Ben is cool. I love how he turned his life around. Too often, I see many men who don't want to help themselves.

I strongly recommend this book! You'll be taken away by this story and won't want to come back to earth so to speak! I received a copy of this book from Netgalley. No compensations were received. All opinions are my own!!
