Absolutely a wonderful read!!!

Josephine Winters is definitely someone I admired and loved because of her bravery and I loved her dedication to finish what she started except in a different way of course!!!

I also liked how she stood up for herself and others in the story.

If there's one thing in the book that I didn't like it was the bullying and the surliness that went on. I also didn't like all of the complaining that went on. Life's too short for that.

Sometimes tho I know we can't help it because if unhappy situations but it's where we can learn to make the best of it. Especially if you're stuck in the middle of a war.

Levi Albright is a very interesting character. I had no trouble imagining in what he looked like. Very special and quite stubborn at times. 

I liked how he got along with everyone and how God found a use for him. I also liked how if he wants something or needs to do it, he does it without complaining. 

If I lived back then I'd probably be at home sewing socks, or whatever else the soldiers needed at the time. There's no way I could work in a hospital like that and not get queasy. 

I can imagine myself in the other scenes of the book and I must say I enjoyed being there. 

I love my imagination taking over!

Sharlene you are an excellent writer and I love your stories! I wish I could meet you face to face. Please keep them coming. It's so easy to get lost in your books!!

She married Cecil, with whom she’d grown up in Spring Arbor, and the couple had two daughters. Shar embarked on a teaching career that would span over 30 years.
