ABOUT THE BOOK

Loving her is a risk he can't afford . . . and can't resist.

When acclaimed Bible study author Genevieve Woodward receives an anonymous letter referencing her parents' past, she returns to her hometown in the Blue Ridge Mountains to chase down her family's secret. However, it's Genevieve's own secret that catches up to her when Sam Turner, owner of a historic farm, uncovers the source of shame she's worked so hard to hide.

Sam has embraced his sorrow, his isolation, and his identity as an outsider. He's spent years carving out both career success and peace of mind. The last thing he wants is to rent the cottage on his property to a woman whose struggles stir his worst failure back to life. Yet can he bear to turn her away right when she needs him most?

MY REVIEW

Feeling that this book comes from the author’s heart it has turned out to be her best one yet!
Wade gives us a little bit of everything in this book along with some life’s lessons
and she doesn’t beat around the bush about it.
Writing about
I won’t say what they are since I don’t want to give anything away.
Genevive is just like any other human being. She is just trying to get through life the best way she knew how what with everything going on in it and all.
I think life is stressful at times but it can also be what you make of it. In my opinion Genevive took it a little too far.
For this reason I really couldn’t warm up to her at all.
Sam is an amazing character! At first he got on my nerves but as I read on I grew to love him. I thought that he was perfect for a certain someone.
I enjoy Becky‘s writing to the fullest. I love walking away with my heart feeling full and satisfied. Wade has a way of doing that to you.
The cover of this book is certainly beautiful!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Becky Wade

During her childhood in California, Becky frequently produced homemade plays starring her sisters, friends, and cousins. These plays almost always featured a heroine, a prince, and a love story with a happy ending. She's been a fan of all things romantic ever since.

Becky and her husband lived overseas in the Caribbean and Australia before settling in Dallas, Texas. It was during her years abroad that Becky's passion for reading turned into a passion for writing. She published three historical romances with Avon Books, then put her career on hold for several years to care for her three kids, then recently returned to writing sheerly for the love of it. She felt led to move to the genre of contemporary Christian romance and couldn’t be more thrilled with it.

These days Becky can be found failing but trying to keep up with her housework, sweating at the gym, carting her kids around town, playing tennis, hunched over her computer, eating chocolate, or collapsed on the sofa watching TV with her husband.
