Haunting at the Bonaventure Circus

ABOUT THE BOOK

1928

The Bonaventure Circus is a refuge for many, but Pippa Ripley was rejected from its inner circle as a baby. When she receives mysterious messages from someone called the "Watchman," she is determined to find him and the connection to her birth. As Pippa's search leads her to a man seeking justice for his murdered sister and evidence that a serial killer has been haunting the circus train, she must decide if uncovering her roots is worth putting herself directly in the path of the killer.

Present Day
The old circus train depot will either be torn down or preserved for historical importance, and its future rests on real estate project manager Chandler Faulk's shoulders. As she dives deep into the depot's history, she's also balancing a newly diagnosed autoimmune disease and the pressures of single motherhood. When she discovers clues to the unsolved murders of the past, Chandler is pulled into a story far darker and more haunting than even an abandoned train depot could portend.

MY REVIEW

What can I say to this book? Fantabulous as always! I just love Jaime Jo Wright!. Her stories keep me interested from page one until the end.
Yes, I stayed up way past my bedtime but what is bedtime when a story is unfolding before your very eyes! As I was reading this story sort of reminded me of The Greatest Showman except that Greatest Showman didn't have some scary parts. Those made me shiver especially late at night.
This author does an amazing job with duo timelines. I used to not like duo timelines because it felt like I was reading two different stories but now I see where the author's go and I love how past mixes with present. So exciting!
There are some beautiful inspirational messages that are perfectly woven into this book Wright style. It's what I love about Christian fiction. It's not too preachy.
Reading about the elephants reminded me of asking my grandpa to draw them all the time. Eventually he taught me how to draw them.
I've only ever been to the circus one time when it came to Lexington. I loved it! We got to see the animals before showtime and you guessed it. We went to see the elephants first Such beautiful creatures of God!
I want to say that Lily stole my heart from the moment she was born. There's nothing any cuter than a baby elephant!
I didn't want this book to end but now I'm looking forward to Wright's next book!
Oh! Eventually, I will need to buy this book too add to my keeper shelf! It's too good not to!
5 stars for this written amazing book!
I highly recommend. My thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review fall opinions are my own.
